Which size is right for my window well?

Its easy to determine, just follow the sizing diagram below. Keep in mind window wells come in all shapes and sizes. That's why we offer eight sizes in our standard image collection. Ideally, you want to first choose the size that covers the entire horizontal surface of your window well. Secondly, you want the size that will provide the highest vertical coverage. In some cases the vertical coverage will not reach all the way to the top of the window well. This is okay, since you will not see this high up from most viewing angles.

The picture scenes can be trimmed to an exact fit. The sizing diagam below will guide you through the process of selecting the optimal size for your window well. Our goal is to provide an exact fit with minimal trimming in order to while maintain as much of the scene's original image composition as possible.

Determine your well circumference measurement.

Look to see if the well connects to the Window Frame or the Foundation?

If to the Window Frame then measurement should be from window glass all the way around the well to the window glass on the other side. See Figure A below.

If to the Foundation, then determine how much of a distance (in inches) there from the edge of the window frame to the edge of the window well. See Figure B below.

If the distance is less than 1 inch
then measurement should be from window glass all the way around the well to the window glass on the other side. See Figure A above.

If the distance is greater than 1 inch
then measurement should be from the edge of the well where it connects to the
Foundation all the way around to where it connects to the Foundation on the other side.
See Figure C below.

Measure the circumference of your window well as shown in the diagram above.
If the circumference is 60" or less go to Step 3.
If the circumference is greater than 60", but less than 72" go to Step 4.
If the circumference is greater than 72", but less than 96" go to Step 5.
If the circumference is greater than 96", but less than 120", use the 60"x120" size.
If the circumference is greater than 120", but less than 150", use the 60"x150" size.
If the circumference is greater than 150", call for other options.

Measure the depth of your window well from top to bottom.
If the depth is 30" or less, we recommend the 30"x60" size.
If the depth is greater than 30", we recommend the 36"x72" size.

Measure the depth of your window well from top to bottom.
If the depth is 48" or less, we recommend the 48"x72" size.
If the depth is greater than 48", then measure the height of your window.
If the height is less than 42", we recommend the 48"x72" size.
If the height is greater than 42", we recommend the 60"x72" size.
*If the window extends above the top of the well, call for assistance.
